This presentation aims to analyze the theoretical foundations of Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) to assess the social value of projects while highlighting its advantages and disadvantages in practice. Particular emphasis will be placed on ways to improve CBA to better integrate the social dimensions of projects. A case study applied to the Quebec context will also be presented.
