Research Axes
The five research axes highlight the importance of reevaluating traditional governance models and their decision-making processes by exploring new ways to generate social value through infrastructure projects and completed infrastructures. These axes are therefore concerned with how communities appropriate infrastructure to derive social value from it (Axis 1); they aim to identify and measure this social value (Axis 2); assess the impact of including EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) on the social value of infrastructure and look at cybersecurity risks (Axis 3); explore community engagement (Axis 4); and reflect on quantification and post-growth alternatives (Axis 5). In summary, society must actively engage in this new effort to rethink value creation to prevent it from being dominated by the interests of specific stakeholders.
