Research Topic Description
My research objective focuses on managing complexity in large-scale infrastructure projects, also known as megaprojects. Given the high levels of complexity throughout the lifecycle of these projects, extensive research has sought to identify effective strategies for addressing the various forms of complexity (such as structural or dynamic) inherent in megaprojects. While much of the existing literature views these complexities negatively—emphasizing the identification of associated risks and ways to mitigate them—it is important to highlight that these complexities can also serve as drivers of social and economic value creation. Indeed, they can foster innovation, thereby enhancing project performance.
However, despite the significant integration of innovation and modern technologies (such as information technology and artificial intelligence) into these complex projects, their essential role in reducing complexities has been only marginally explored in academic research. This is why I am committed to deeply exploring how innovation can act as a significant lever in managing project complexities, thereby making novel contributions to this field of study.
To achieve this, my methodological approach will combine interviews with key stakeholders in megaprojects and surveys of infrastructure professionals. This approach aims to gather precise data on the effectiveness and application of innovations—particularly in the field of information technology and artificial intelligence—to develop better complexity management strategies for major infrastructure projects.

Research Topic Description
My research project focuses on the strategies for creating social value from both social housing and housing near industrial infrastructures. I am currently at the first stage of my PhD, conducting a literature review. In the coming months, the research question and research methodology will be defined and refined. Furthermore, multiple case studies will be selected soon, and one of these case studies will be the Molson Project in Montreal.
