Congratulations to Jonathan on his successful thesis defense !

The Research Chair INFRA-S warmly congratulates Jonathan Harvey on the successful defense of his doctoral thesis, supervised by Caroline Coulombe, which explores decision-making dynamics in NGOs through the lens of two forms of practical wisdom: Phronèsis (moral judgment, ethical identity, emotional regulation) and Mètis (contextual ingenuity).

Drawing on an in-depth case study within Cambodian Living Arts, he highlights a symbiotic decision-making model in which moral principles and pragmatic adaptability mutually reinforce one another in uncertain environments. His rigorous and committed research offers an original framework for rethinking ethical action in context, combining theoretical nuance, intercultural sensitivity, and concrete implications for NGOs.

Bravo, Jonathan, for this valuable contribution to ongoing reflections on leadership, ethics, and governance under constraint!
